Maryland Federal Workers honored for Excellence in Public Service

BALTIMORE - Last Friday, May 4, 2012, the Baltimore Federal Executive Board (FEB) conducted the 45th Excellence in Federal Career Awards Luncheon and Ceremony. This historical regional federal employee recognition program was the kickoff event for Public Service Recognition Week (May 6-12) to honor and recognize federal agency employees working in Maryland for their accomplishments and outstanding job performance during the previous year.

The event, hosted by the Chair of the Baltimore Federal Executive Board, Lieutenant Colonel H.W. Hugh Darville, US. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore and the Program Chair, Dr. Reginald F. Wells, Deputy Commissioner Human Resources for the Social Security Administration and the FEB Vice-Chair, was held at Martin’s West in Baltimore and featured the Baltimore Area US Coast Guard Color Guard.

The Baltimore FEB is pleased to announce that Mr. Kareem Dale, appointed by President Barack Obama as the Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy, will be a guest speaker at the Baltimore FEB’s 1st annual EEO Disability & Inclusion and Disabilities Awareness/Employment Symposium on June 6, 2012.

Also, included on the agenda as a keynote speaker is Ms. Veronica Villalobos, Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. The symposium announcement and registration information has been posted hre on our website. see the article posted below. .
